IPOs : Almost half (43%) issued in 2017 have performed below the S&P 500

IPOs Conclusion

Among those who outperformed the S&P 500 many IPOs saw a strong increase on the first trading day, showing a high appreciation between the offer price and the closing price on the first trading session.
It is therefore not surprising to observe the results are even worse when making this calculation without considering the first trading day. In this case 57% of the 2017 IPOs performed below the S&P 500.
